The ELCW consists of four components: a Fellows Program, a Special Events Component, a Research Component, and a Networking Component. These four distinct components unite to provide a comprehensive program that directly addresses the advancement of school principals (Fellows Program), other administrators (Special Events Component), and aspiring leaders (teams within the Fellows Program). The Networking Component supports all administrators with access, not only to each other, but to experts, resources, and important sites (real and electronic) as well.

The Fellows Program is a premier professional development effort that supports a selected cohort grouping of principals from the five-county service area of the ELCW. The rigorous two-year Fellows Program supports strong professional development that is tied to state and national standards for education leaders, research-based strategies, solid professional literature, and identified best practices.

Fellows will participate in seminars, activities, observations, special events, etc. that are led by nationally renowned experts in the field of educational leadership. Fellows will work with national and local mentors to develop viable school improvement projects linked to their Continuous Improvement Plans in order to forward transfer of knowledge and skills learned as Fellows.

Upon completion of the Fellows Programs, Fellows will receive Professional Learning Units for professional development and/or Graduate Credit from Troy University Dothan Campus pending successful completion of admissions criteria to Troy University Dothan Campus.
